What sizes of fir are available?
We have all the sizes you want, starting with the table tree, 3 feet, and up to the 13 feet tree. If you wish to order a tree of more than 10 feet, you must contact us via the contact form because these trees must be delivered specially due to their size.
Can I order a large quantity of trees?
There is no maximum number of trees that can be ordered. As long as inventory allows, you can order as many trees as you wish. However, if you make a transaction of more than 20 trees, please contact us via the contact form to validate your delivery date, as we may have to change your delivery date if it must be done with a specific truck.
What is the difference between each type of tree?
The balsam fir has the best scent and the densest (most full) branches. The fraser fir has the best retention of needles and has stiffer branches, but its shape is less perfect. Its needles are darker than the balsam. Cook is a cross between these two firs, it is dense like balsam, but retains its needles better than balsam. It is usually darker in color, sometimes even bluish.
What are the differences between the grades of fir (premium, #1 #2 and wilding)?
The premium quality fir is the most uniform fir, it is trimmed and has no irregularities.
The #1 quality tree is a well grown and well stocked tree, it will have some slight irregularities, but overall it is still very beautiful.
The #2 quality tree is a non-regular tree, it has a more natural look.
The wilding fir is a fir that has not been pruned, so it is very irregular and has few branches.
How wide is a fir tree?
The width of a fir tree is about half its height. So, for example, a 6 to 7 feet tree will be about 3 to 3.5 feet wide.
I would like to have a 7'11" tree. What category should I get?
We cannot guarantee a fixed size of tree, as it would be too difficult to manage. In the 7-8 feet category, for example, you can receive a tree from 7'1'' to 8'. If you wish to have an 8' tree, we advise you to choose the 8-9' size and to leave a delivery note when you place your order to indicate to the delivery man to cut it at delivery in order to have an 8' tree.
Can I order a 10’ wilding?
Wildings are between 6 and 8 feet tall. Note also that it is not possible to choose a fixed size for a tree.
How long does a tree last?

How fresh are the trees?
We only cut the trees we need. Moreover, your tree will be cut the week before your delivery date. It will be fresher than what you could find in a shop.
Is it environmentally friendly to buy a natural tree instead of an artificial one?
Unlike natural trees, artificial trees cannot be recycled or converted to compost. In addition, the PVC and lead in artificial trees remain in landfills for generations. In addition, each hectare of Christmas trees produces enough oxygen to meet the needs of 40 to 45 people. Do the trees come from Québec nurseries?
Bôsapin owns land in Quebec: in La Patrie, Milan, Bethany, Carignan and Saint-Jean-Chrysostome. We grow, cut and replant Christmas trees to offer a quality service every year.
Do you use pesticides?
We do not spray our trees with pesticides, but we treat the soil against weeds. Our trees are not organic. We sometimes use chemical products when necessary, according to the recommendations of our agronomist.
Can I come and choose my tree myself?

Is it possible to rent trees for an event?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to rent fir trees because once they enter the heat, they lose their freshness.
Do I need a stand for my tree?
Yes. The trees do not come with a stand. You can add a tree stand to your order and it will be delivered at the same time. These stands are reusable every year. A good stand makes all the difference! To get yours, click here.
Do I need a stand for my miniature tree?
Is it possible to know what I bought last year?
Since we have a new website, only orders made since the 2022 Christmas season are displayed in your customer account. You can check your emails to find your confirmation email that includes the items you had purchased. Otherwise, you can contact us via the contact form.
I have a credit from last year, how do I use it?
Place your order and return the email you received telling us the credit you are owed. We will then refund the credit you are owed.

How do I cancel my order?

Then, click on Cancel Order. If you have already paid for your order, you will be refunded within 5 business days. Please note that if the order is cancelled less than 24 hours before delivery, a restocking fee equivalent to 10% of your order will not be refunded. How do I change my order?

What are your delivery areas?

What are the delivery dates?
We deliver every weekend from November 19 to December 18 inclusively. However, you can order your tree starting September 15 to ensure a greater choice. Please note that delivery dates vary from one area to another. As soon as sales open, you will be able to see the available delivery dates for your sector in your shopping cart.
Does the delivery person install the tree?
Yes, the delivery person will install the tree in the stand as long as your living room is ready for it. A good stand makes all the difference! To get yours, click here.
Last year I was delivered and this year the system is telling me that there are no deliveries in my area.
Each year we optimize our routes based on demand in different areas. To see if delivery is available to your address, check the map and use our postal code validator. If your address is not in the service area, we are sorry, but we will not be able to deliver this year. You can still let us know if you are interested via the contact form and who knows, maybe next year the wooden soldiers will be back in your area!
I am moving in December, can I buy now and change my delivery address later?
If you already know the address you will be moving to, please enter that address as your delivery address. Otherwise, you can place your order using your current address, but make sure your new home is in our delivery areas and notify us of your new address via the contact form at least 2 weeks prior to delivery since delivery dates change from one area to another.
Do I have to be home the day of the delivery?
If you are not home and paid with a credit card, the delivery person will leave the tree on your stoop, unless otherwise specified. You can leave a delivery note when you place your order to give the delivery person more information. Want to add a delivery note to your order? Access your order from your customer account or your order confirmation email, add a note and click on Edit my delivery.
If you pay at the reception, you must be there to hand over the money. The delivery person will not be able to leave an unpaid tree at your door. Why can't I choose an earlier delivery date?
When the wooden soldiers routes are laid out or when a day is filled, this date is not available.

How do I change my delivery date?
You can change your delivery date until our delivery software has mapped out the routes of our wooden soldiers. To do so, access your order from your customer account or from your order confirmation email. Choose a new delivery date and click on Edit Order. Note that if your delivery date is too close, it will not be possible to change your delivery date yourself. Please contact us via the contact form to make arrangements if necessary.
What if I can't remember my delivery date?
Your delivery date is indicated in the confirmation email we sent you after your order. It is also indicated in your customer account.
Is it possible to choose the delivery time?
Standard delivery, offered at $5, guarantees the day of delivery, but does not allow you to choose the time of delivery. However, please note that deliveries run from 8 a,m. to 9 p.m., although we try to finish our deliveries before 8 p.m. Once the routes of our wooden soldiers have been mapped out, you will receive an email with an approximate time frame for the delivery of your tree. The Flex delivery option, which is only available in certain areas, allows you to choose a 3-hour delivery window for an additional $10.
Can I change my delivery time once it has been given to me?
Our delivery software maps out the routes of our wooden soldiers according to the other deliveries of the day. This makes it difficult to change delivery times without disrupting the rest of our wooden soldiers' route. If you can't be there, we can leave your order if it is paid in advance. You can also leave a note for the driver if you want them to drop off your items at a specific location.
I am supposed to receive my tree at the end of the week, but I did not receive the delivery time
Once our delivery software has mapped out the routes of our wooden soldiers, we will send you an email indicating the approximate time frame in which your delivery will take place. You will receive this email approximately 2 days before your delivery date. Please check your email including your junk mail box. You should have received an email from: info@bosapin.com. Do you do outdoor installation?
No, because when a tree is installed outside, regular support is not enough. You will need to add straps or ropes to hold the tree up in high winds and this equipment is not included with the tree.
Should I tip the delivery person?
Tipping is at your discretion. It is up to you to determine if you wish to leave a tip and the extent of the service requested (if you ask the delivery person to take the tree up to the 5th floor, if you wish to have it installed in the living room or if you ask them to leave it outside on the door).
What should I do if my tree is damaged?
We guarantee the freshness and quality of our trees. They are selected especially for our customers who choose home delivery.
However, these are perishable and fragile products that can be damaged in transit. Although we take the greatest precautions, it may happen that your order is damaged or defective.
If this is the case, we will replace, refund, partially or completely credit a damaged or defective tree depending on the situation. You have 1 week following the reception of your tree to contact us via the contact form. We will then get back to you quickly to make an arrangement with you according to the condition of your tree. Be sure to include photos of the damaged tree with your message.
What if I don't like my tree?

What if my shipment is missing an item?
We are sorry that you did not receive all the items you ordered. Please contact us via the contact form to obtain a refund or organize a 2nd delivery.
What to do if my tree doesn't drink water?
A tree is a living plant and each tree is unique. It is therefore possible that your tree this year will not drink as much as last year's tree. Also note that it is normal for your tree to drink more water in the first week and then reduce its consumption dramatically.
Upon delivery, the wooden soldier cuts a slice of the trunk to get a fresh cut before your tree is put in its stand with water. If you did not install the tree immediately after receiving it, you must make a fresh cut before installing it in the base to optimize its life span. We cannot guarantee the amount of water the tree will consume since each tree is different and we cannot know the treatment the tree received after delivery.
What should I do if my tree loses a lot of needles?
Firs lose needles during transport. If your tree was at the bottom of the pile, it may have received many needles from the trees above it. Since the trees are not unwrapped between the field and your house, the accumulation of these needles can be impressive. So if your tree seems to lose a lot of needles on the first day, don't be surprised, chances are it's not its own needles! Give your tree a good shake before decorating it, the needles that are not attached will fall off and your tree will remain beautiful for the holiday season!
What to do if my tree is dry?
We are sincerely sorry that the condition of your tree was not as you expected. Thanks to our great team, we are among the producers who cut their trees the latest in Quebec to ensure their freshness. However, fir trees are living plants and they do not all react the same way when cut and we have no control over this. Every year we improve our storage and delivery methods to protect our trees as much as possible and offer you the best experience.
Is your tree really dry? There is a quick test to help you find out: Bend a small branch. If it breaks, it confirms that your tree is dry. If you have received a dry tree, you have 1 week following the reception of your tree to contact us via the contact form. We will then get back to you quickly to make an arrangement with you. Be sure to include photos of the tree with your message. If you received your tree more than a week ago, we cannot guarantee its freshness because like a flower at the florist, if the tree has been poorly cared for, it will quickly lose its freshness.
What is the difference between the 2 fundraising methods?
***Unfortunately, this year, 2022, we cannot accept new organizations for fundraising campaigns.***
With the "I organize my own campaign" method, you will make more profit per tree sold, but you will have more work to do.
